Starting down a new path in your interior design journey can be exciting and – let’s be honest – a little scary. As an interior design business coach, I understand how overwhelming it can be to find the courage to make a change, especially a big one.
But take heart! There are things you can do to reveal your bravado and make positive changes in your interior design business.
Blast From The Past
Try something for me. Think back to a past success, like an awesome design project that you were SO proud of, or a client you NEVER thought you’d close (but you did). Remember how full of confidence you were?
Reclaim that moment! Use it to step into that courageous feeling. You still have the skills, creativity, and knowledge from that success. That means you already have what it takes to succeed again!
Stand By Me
Change can be difficult, and making changes can be easier when you aren’t facing it alone. Consider leaning on trusted colleagues and friends who know and understand your world. Choose someone who will be a good accountability partner to help you stay on track.
Seek guidance from an expert (like a coach). Choose one that gets to know you – who you are, what you do, and where you want to go – so they can provide tailored advice and encouragement to help you find the courage to make a change. The right one will use their expertise to ensure you make good choices through the changes.
Bring It On!
So, what happens when you take that leap forward for change? I’m glad you asked. I love sharing good news!
In 2021, Lauren reached out to me with several goals for her business, each requiring big changes and lots of accountability. She needed to find the courage to make a change. Lauren made the decision to enroll in the Profit Insiders Academy, and here’s what happened with the goals she set:
Goal #1: Increase Profitability
Before: Lauren’s gross profits were $400,000.
After: Lauren’s gross profits are $1,200,000!
Lauren says: “In 1 year, my revenue increased by 600% and my profits tripled!”
Goal #2: Scale Business
Before: Lauren’s interior design business consisted of 1 staff member (herself).
After: Lauren’s full-blown design firm has 3 full-time staff members!
Lauren says: “I am paying myself and have been able to add two more full-time staff members AND rent a studio. I’m no longer freaking out every month!”
Goal #3: Improved Mindset
Before: Lauren sometimes struggled with scarcity mindset and imposter syndrome.
After: Lauren confidently embraces her role as CEO and makes savvy business decisions from an abundance mindset. She reclaims her life and celebrates her healthy work-life balance.
Lauren says: “I’d been thinking of hiring a coach, but I wasn’t sure I could afford it or what I’d get out of it. During my 15-minute review call with Nancy, I knew she was the coach that would not only teach me how to run a profitable business but also hold me accountable to get it done – AND SHE DID! Enrolling in the Profit Insiders Academy was the best thing I could have done for my business!”
In just ONE year, Lauren was able to completely transform her interior design business, and she didn’t stop there! Her business is still growing, expanding, and flourishing due to the strategies she set in motion in the Profit Insiders Academy. And it all began the moment she decided to find the courage to make a change.
Summary
To find courage in your interior design business, start by looking back at your successes. Consider getting support from a friend and tapping into the expertise that a seasoned expert can provide. Change is a part of growth – embracing it is how you reach the greatest levels of achievement.
